International Academy of Ceramics (IAC), a UNESCO partner NGO
Need to build a resource for their current and prospective members to both find and contribute pertinent ceramic destinations around the world.
The goal of the IAC is to stimulate friendship and communication between ceramic professionals, with a focus on creation at the highest level of quality in all ceramic cultures. During the COVID-19 lockdown, many exhibits, symposiums and conferences were canceled. With the lack of in person meeting opportunities, their main mission needed to shift online, this database tool will enable users to find information when in person networking opportunities are not available.
I spearheaded the user research and design of the “Ceramic World Destinations” map as the sole designer and researcher. Through a mix of user interviews, competitive analysis, stakeholder reviews, user testing, and iterations, I aim to create a convenient way for the global ceramic art community to find pertinent information to achieve their own creative goals.
